Mixed media artist Ana Montiel’s exhibit at joségarcía in Mexico City currently running until March 23. From the Artist; ‘Witnessing as a creative act. Here we are, looking through a window only to find our reflection on the glass. The I in the eye. An analogy for our embodied consciousness co-creating all that we perceive. The realm of experience is the realm of illusion. This, our reality, is nothing but an illusion we share. Isn’t it romantic?’ See Ana Montiel’s Portfolio.
Ana Montiel’s latest series of digital imagery, the ‘fields‘ series. Part of her project titled ‘Hidden Realities’.
Vinyl is back. In a big way. Jack White and Logitech say so. Ana Montiel illustrated and designed artwork for posters and vinyl records for UE Boom/Logitech.
Last year two amazing women at BBH London had an idea to turn the Deputy ECD’s office wall into a gallery. Deputy ECD Caroline Pay curated and the power of Production Director Aine Donovan commissioned. (By the by, not just incredibly smart and talented ladies but two of the nicest souls we know.) A handful of the UK’s best and brightest Graphic Artists were asked to participate by creating original artwork with the end result being an auction on International Women’s Day to raise funds for the charity Refuge. We were so thrilled to have our illustrator, Ana Montiel, asked to participate….
When we talk about Ana Montiel it can sometimes be quite frenetic. While she is an illustrator, she is also an artist, an Art Director, an experimenter, a thinker, a clever clogs magic maker and one of the loveliest human beings we’ve ever met. Her work speaks a lot more articulately than we do, and, you know, sometimes it’s good not to believe what one source of information tells you. So here’s some Ana Montiel for you. (and to our Dear friends in the US of A, there’s some red, white and blue!)
When it’s Ana Montiel of course it’s a lot more than just cutting and pasting. Stars, geometric shapes and pretty pastels align in the most beautiful of collages.
It’s simple. Truly. All you have to do is tag a photograph of yours on instagram that you’d like made into an Ana Montiel line drawing. Just like you see below. Every couple of weeks Ana will select one and link it back to you. We may even print our favourite, have Ana sign it, and send it to you. Pets, landscapes, friends, whatever takes your fancy. Simply tag it #bespokebyana and cross your fingers. Happy Monday folks!
Ana Montiel has designed the latest cover art for London-based Cineplexx’s newest release. A little teaser is here. Now, we hate it when people dare us not to like something, But we totally dare you.
